Holiday with Children

We are planning to go to Cyprus in late May. We have been to protaras and love it there, however we quite like the look of Nissi Beach Resort on Nissi Beach. The main question - although Nissi beach is a few miles long, we are not sure whether we are going to get caught up in the beach discos etc. Does anyone know whether the Nissi Beach Resort is at the quieter end of the beach and whether there are many bars/restaurants to take children to in the evening?

Nissi Beach Hotel is at one end of the Beach. So not noisy. There are plenty other beaches to use also. Not quite sure about the length of Nissi Beach! Certainly not more than a mile:-) Yes there are plenty of children friendly bars and restaurants near to the hotel that you can use in the evenings. These bars and restaurants are not used by those that have opted to spend the evenings clubbing and partying in the resort centre which is about 35 mins walk away.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply, this is reallty useful. The only reason we asked about the beach was because we%26#39;d seen various antics on part of the Nissi beach on UTube. Can you see the bunji crane from Nissi beach?

Perhaps this is at the other end of the beach or adjoining?

Do you know if the Olympus resort is a good hotel with excellent position?

Do you mean Olympic Lagoon. Yes I do. It is further out of Ayia Napa. It is opposite the beach that I always use. Landa Beach. This is quieter than Nissi Beach. I usually stay in the Nissi Bay area and walk 40 mins to get to this beach. It%26#39;s a 20 mins walk in the opposite direction to the centre of Ayia Napa so as you can see you have a long walk to the centre. You will have had to walk for about 20 mins to get to the start of the string of bars, restaurants and shops that are outside the Nissi Beach Hotel. I would recommend that you stay somewhere in the Nissi Bay area and not the centre. If when you get on the beach you are not happy then grab a taxi, or walk if it is early or late enough, to one of the other beaches. Landa and Macronnissos Beaches are away from the centre. Sandy Bay is toward the centre behind the Anonymous, Pavlo Napa and Tasia Maris Hotels.

I just read that back...basically you have about 1hrs walk to the centre of Ayia Napa from Olympic Lagoon.
