Exchange rate

Can anyone tell me if you get a better exchange rate in UK or out in Cyprus. THANKS

|||

I would say, better exchange rates in Cyprus....but not sure on commission charged..........

about .825 in M%26amp;S and tescos, but about .84ish in resort..........

if you%26#39;re changing hundreds and hundreds then may be worth doing it whilst there, but lets be honest, it only works out to less than 2p in every pound you changed.....

Thanks for information,I am going to take 4 hundred Cypriot with me ,and change the rest out there

HI JPD

I went for one week bed and breakfast, and between us we took about CY£600.......... I also took my debit card (no hidden charges when using debit card)........however, I never used it.....

WE ate out every night bar one, and got a sandwich/salad at lunchtimes from hotel snack bar.........when we came home, I had about CY£130.....I spent almost CY£100 in duty free and exchanged the rest when I got home.........

Admittedly we dont drink alot, couple glasses of wine and a couple of beers........

Unless you%26#39;re gonna get blotto everynight, I think you%26#39;ll be surprised how far your cash will go.....

Enjoy your hols.....

Thanks for advice,we are actually spending 2 weeks at the Olympic Lagoon Resort,in the Nissi Bay area,with our twin daughters,who will celebrate their 5th birthday while there.Have you been to Cyprus a number of times,if so can you reccomend any lovely quiet beaches,distance not a problem as I will be hireing a car THANKS

Hi JPD

I stayed at that hotel about 10 years ago, (it was when it was first built) and it was called the Olympic Napa??

We booked a last minute, and ended up there.......it was a fantastic hotel.....since its changed is name, it%26#39;s also changed it%26#39;s star rating from 3 to 4 star...........

Now the motorway is completed, it goes right past it.........when I stayed there the motorway wasn%26#39;t built and it used to take at least an hour and a quarter to get there........
