Paphos Excersions...

Hi

Am off to Paphos mid August. Have heard about a day trip to Egypt, has anyone been? If so, good / bad points? How much? Any comments gratefully received....

Hi,

When we stayed in Paphos we did an excursion to Egypt but two nights are spent on board ship. Travelled through the night arrived Port Said (?) 6.00 a.m. and spent all day doing the museum, pyramids etc. It was a long day and very much spent travelling on a coach through the desert. We arrived back at the ship for our second night on board.

The ship was not luxury but it was clean.

Tired and exhausting but well worth it.

I dont think you can do a day trip by air but someone might be able to help you on that.

Thomson offer a day trip by air, to Cairo, at £205 per adult %26amp; £185 per child; this trip goes on Tuesdays. (Prices correct 3 weeks ago, when I was in Paphos)

Haven%26#39;t been from Cyprus, but have visited Cairo several times; it%26#39;s fascinating. A day trip will be tiring but will give you a taster, so you can decide whether or not to return for longer. One can%26#39;t do the museum justice in a day trip.

Am sure I saw an article about a day to visit the pyramids in one of the Travel Brochures... just wondered if anyone had been on it.....?
