Riu Cypria Bay?

What is general view on above hotel for honeymoon - reviews look good?

Hi,

So...you%26#39;ve defected with me from the Sharm forum? lol

Hubby %26amp; I were in Paphos, just a few hotels down from both Rius, in Athena Royal Beach from 7-21 July. We walked along the beach path %26amp; looked in the grounds of many hotels, also walked round Riu Cypria Maris (not Bay nxt door) %26amp; decided we much preferred the Athena Royal (see my review)

We have stayed in Rius before %26amp; really enjoyed their standard %26amp; whilst we thought that both Rius looked good in Paphos, we thought the Athena had the edge.

It depends what you want tho; 2 of the big factors for us were that the Athena was child free %26amp; very tranquil. No music round the pool, LOADSA space between sun loungers %26amp; the grounds themselves just give you such a feeling of space. The Riu grounds, whilst vrey verdant %26amp; attractive, seemed far more %26quot;closed in%26quot;, the music %26amp; pool activity / competition noise was audible from our hotel at times %26amp; whilst it didn%26#39;t bother us, we were glad we weren%26#39;t any closer.

Weather in July was late 30%26#39;s in the day but the humidity was high; eves were very comfortable. I believe Sept temps / hymidity is also also more comfotable as we were enquiring whilst in resort %26amp; hope to return nxt May or Sept (preferably sooner rather than later!)

We were also very pleased with the location of the hotel as it%26#39;s about 20mins walk from the harbour (Riu would be 25min); there is a good bus service, plenty of restaurants nearby to suit all tastes %26amp; also plenty of shops / supermarkets.

Haven%26#39;t yet posted about the trips but will do at some stage. You%26#39;d be spoilt for choice.

Thank you for your comments much appreciated re the Riu Cypria Bay. Like yourself we have visited two Rius (Spain %26amp; Morrocco) and really liked them.

As you will have seen from other forum we are off to Sharm in Sept to nervously stay at the LTI! Whilst in Sharm we are going to have a look around some other hotels for inspiration as having not been before that too could be a potential honeymoon destination?!

I must say what a huge credit you are to these messageboards and would be interested to know how many people take a hard copy of your tips for first timers for Sharm it is a legendary doc (have already printed mine off)!!!
