We%26#39;re thinking of staying at the Amathus Beach Hotel for the first 2 weeks of August.
We need a quiet, relaxing holiday. So we don%26#39;t want large crowds and huge families.
Has anyone been in August to this area of Limassol and can anyone advise?
Many thanks all.

The Amathus Beach is a fabulous Hotel and sounds perfect for what you are looking for in a holiday. The area has lovely restaurants and clean beaches with a lovely promenade walk that has been built a few years ago. It is not overrun with tourists so no bustle and the weather is great, too hot if anything! I%26#39;m sure you will be impressed.

Hi Steve
I know it is a late reply. Here%26#39;s a thought for you.
Instead of booking at a hotel in the peak season why not try a villa or apartment instead, they could work out cheaper in the long run and you could have your own space too.

Limassol is very under rated as a resort ,you choice of the Amathus is great. Check out the old quarter of Ayios Andreas area some good eateries there some with live music. Also the Lanitis carob mill museum always has an event on.And do try to drive into the mountains to out of the way wine villages.
