Thinking of having a week in Cyprus in October, can anyone suggest where to go as we really don%26#39;t know much about it yet. I%26#39;m into sightseeing and photography, definitely not a beach bum and not pubbing and clubbing either. I don%26#39;t want to stay in a resort that%26#39;s really busy and noisy, but not too deserted either. Any suggestions on which resort would be best.
We%26#39;re total novices at the whole Mediterranean holiday thing, Australia, Canada and the American west have been much more our thing, but sadly limited holiday time this year preclude a long-haul trip.
We%26#39;re open to suggestions, other ideas mooted have been Crete and Malta, does anyone know much about them as places to go?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Paphos sounds ideal for what you describe.
Lots of historical sites to see and within very easy reach of many more.
Plenty of places to stay just outside of Paphos so you don%26#39;t have to be in the hub of everything.
I have also sent you a private message.

Agree with the previous post, Paphos. If you need further suggestions about other destiantions within the Med, send me a private e-mail %26amp; I will try to help. Have visited the majority of destinations in the Med.

Polis and Latsi up the Akamas Peninsula offer ideal photogrpaphy. Especially sunsets. They may be too qiet to stop in so I%26#39;d recommend Paphos as a base. Also from here venture into the Troodos mountains and also follow the coast road East to Kourion.
