Cyprus - Ayia Napa - travel 1st July - Multiple Sclerosis -

Hi guys - me and my family are travelling to Ayia Napa on 1st July from Birmingham Airport. We are staying at the Anesis Hotel and although went to Ayia Napa some 12 years ago I did not then have Multiple Sclerosis. Have enquired directly with the hotel for essentials I will need to store my medication.

But would appreciate some general info - the weather, temperatures, whether Ayia Napa has changed much in the last 10 years. If anyone knows the hotel, how much things like parascending and banana boats and jet ski%26#39;s are.

Anything that would be of interest to a party of 5 - youngest 16 eldest 45 - come on guys send me some info - please - any more personal response please e mail me on susanmkemp@hotmail.co.uk - thanks soooooooooo much x

Hi Susan....yep..it%26#39;s changed slightly over the years.

Personally been going every year since 92 but usually stop on the Nissi Bay side of the resort.

Yes.....it will be hot...expect 90F but could get to 105F....lucky you!

The centre has changed but not too much. You%26#39;ll notice newer bars on the edges. Watersports haven%26#39;t gone up dramatically but still expensive! LOL. Waterpark now open just past Makronissos so there%26#39;s a day out in the taxi. Any more info just ask or PM

Hi there - thanks for that. Do you know of the Anesis Hotel?

How much as you remember is it for parascending?

Banana Boat?

Jet ski?

Not too keen on boat trips or scuba diving - also we do like Nissi Beach but doubt that is the one nearest too us - because of my Multiple Sclerosis I have to try as much as possible to remain shaded - have you any idea babe how much sunbeds %26amp; the overheads are on these beaches.

One other thing - last time we came we hired a car but it was booked through travel company.

Can vehicles be hired on a daily basis and if so how much would it be do you think for either a car for 5 with air con?

Thanks bud - any other tips for flying or Larnaca airport which I believe has been under major construction?

I think it was about 15 CYP for Jet ski...Parascending was 25CYP for double I think. Dont quote me on these prices! Didn%26#39;t banana last time.

Sunbeds on our beach were 3CYP each and 2CYP for Umbrella.

The Anesis is very handy for the Centre and the beach near the harbour. You%26#39;ve a short taxi journey to Nissi Beach that will cost CYP4.

You%26#39;ll probably find that there is a minimum of 2 days rental on cars. That%26#39;s what I usually find. Can%26#39;t help on the price sorry....maybe somebody else here can.

Tips for flying and Larnaca....hmmm...flying drink lots ;-)

Larnaca Airport...is Larnaca Airport LOL

Hiya

Just returned from Ayia Napa and we hadn%26#39;t been for 6 years. It has changed but its still a fantastic Island! The Anesis is in a good position. only 5 mins to the beach by the harbour which has been so developed now you won%26#39;t recognise it!. we stayed in the Nelia and they did a discount on the sunbeds so check with your hotel first.

The jetskis are from Tony just right of the Harbour and were £15 for 15 mins (1 person). The banana boats looked to be £30-40. Car rental varies so can%26#39;t comment. Larnaka is still under construction. landing was fine, but passport and security when leaving was really slow. be prepared to queue. It was 28-30 degrees all week last week so July should be hot!. Eat at El Chihahua (Mexican) and Clarabels (steaks) on the main road up to the square if you want a really good meal.We would go back in a few years again. Enjoy!

Thank you for your wonderful and informative reply. Hoping the resort, the hotel and the weather lives up to our expectations - is security really tight then - do they still stamp the passports there babes

Hey everyone - only 8 days till we go - has anyone just come back and can tell us how the weather is at the moment?
