Riu Cypria Bay Hotel

Just back last night from Cyprus and am willing to update anyone on this hotel/Paphos itself.

My friend and his wife have just booked to go to this hotel at the end of this month. He was wondering if they supply beach towels, whats the hotel like and what is the entertainment like.

Thanks

Although I have not stayed there as I live in Paphos, I have played there many times the management %26amp; staff are very friendly %26amp; the hotel lobby %26amp; pool area is outstanding, any other info just drop me a line

I would really appreciate info re this hotel. My fiance and I are hoping to get married in Paphos and there will around 50 guests, so we were looking for a hotel for them which isn%26#39;t too expensive so that everyone can afford to come.

I thought all inclusive would be a good idea as people wouldn%26#39;t then need as much spending money. This is one of the hotels we have looked at, but are unsure because of some of the reviews. Mainly about the hotel often overbooking and sending guests to the sister hotel, the value of all inclusive drinks and the lack of sun loungers. What are you views on these things? What is the food like? How far is the hotel from the harbour and from Bar St?

Thanks,

Jo

Hi.

I%26#39;m getting married at the Cypria Bay next May and from Summer 08 both the Cypria Bay and the Cypria Maris are becoming the Cypria Resort so if you book, you could end up in either hotel.

Hope this helps

Hello JO90Wigan,

You will probably get a few more people reply to you that have stayed at the Cypria Bay more recently. We stayed there about 4 years ago - before it became all inclusive. At that time, it was superb, but it sounds as though it%26#39;s not so good now that it%26#39;s all inclusive. Having said that, the Cypria Bay and Cypria Maris are right next door to each other and the garden areas are more or less joined on to each other. I believe you can use the facilities at either hotel, so if the Bay is overbooked, and you stay in the Maris, you still use the same facilities. The hotels%26#39; themselves are both very nice.

It%26#39;s a fair way from the harbour and Bar St - a good 40-45 minutes walk, but there%26#39;s a good bus service, and taxi%26#39;s are plentiful - which shouldn%26#39;t work out too expensive if you%26#39;re sharing.
