Is nissy beach hotel suitable for family holiday?

We are staying at nissy beach hotel, the reviews seemed so good. But now a bit concerened that it may not be so suitable...we are going at the end of August. Hubby me and teenagers!! They aren%26#39;t quite old enugh for Disco%26#39;s. But i am now concerened that it may be predominantly a %26#39;Ibiza%26#39; type place? Can anyone confirm or surpress my fears?! Thanks Hannah

Hi Hannah

My daughter and friends ( 18 yrs) are staying in Ayia Napa at the moment having a great time. I spoke to her last night and she said how toned down a resort it is from their stay in Magalluf last year. There are quite a lot of couples and families, it is not predominantly groups of singles which makes its perfect for a parents with teenagers holiday. My best friend and her family (2 16yr old twin girls) are due to stay at the Nissi Beach Hotel next week for 2 weeks so I will let you know how they got on and where to go and where not to go. They are having a heatwave at the moment in Ayia Napa, when my daughter rang last night it was 90 degrees at 11pm!! Not good for the Hair do!

Hope this helps

Hi Hannah

My husband and I go to Ayia Napa every year and totally love it. We are not club goers but always find lots to keep us entertained. I would say its very family friendly and there will be something for all of you.

We%26#39;re going back at the beginning of August and I can%26#39;t wait. Already so excited. Sad but true. If you wany any recommendations for restaurants etc please let me know - tjr72@hotmail.com

hi hannah,

my partner and i just got back from aiya napa were both in our 20s and had a fab time. Nissi hotel is on the nissi beach i think. Its not the best beach ive ever seen but is one of the best on the island. We spend most of our holiday by the poolside and going on trips. A must is the dolphin safari which your rep may tell you about or you can buy down near the harbour. I think it was £25 each but well worth it. We went swimming with fish, the boat takes you nr famagusta, then you look for dolphins!! But theres plenty more to do. In the town centre the reps trying to get you in the bars so id say to try and avoid it. We found it annoying. But surrounding the centre are lots of lovely restaurants so eating out is a must.

No...it%26#39;s nothing like that. You%26#39;ll be surprised how many toddlers there are. You are in the best spot of`Ayia Napa and about 30 mins walk to the centre. Even in the centre you will find toddlers in the early evening. When it gets to two and three in the morning obviously it%26#39;s a different place. A bit like home really! There%26#39;s a string of restaurants, bars, shops and banks right outside your hotel. True...as last post says Nissi Beach isn%26#39;t the best so explore.

Hi Hannah

In Cyprus kids are out till late at night. In the middle of Protaras there is a kids playground open until very late. Ayia Napa area does have many discos, but there are many restaurants and bars/cafes etc that cater for all. Nissi beach is considered one of the best beaches in the area, but also try the others - Fig Tree or Makronissos are my suggestions.
