Is Pernera next to Protaras is it quiet.

Is the area Pernera next to Protaras and does the area have nice restuarants and shops any recommendations for places to book as we have never been to Cyprus before as does it have nice beaches.

Hiya.Pernera is much smaller %26amp; quieter than Protaras although it does cover quite an area. You have the main part of Pernera which is really just one main street with several restaurants and bars.If you follow the main road down to the left (past the Seagull Apts and Livas apts you%26#39;ll find another area of bars and restaurants around the Anastasia and Tsokkos Gardens hotels.

There is a decent beach at the Golden Coast hotel which is at the far end of Pernera and another decent one at the Pernera Beach hotel, both do the usual banana boat stuff. If you take a walk along the coastal path which goes from Pernera to Protaras you%26#39;ll come to a better beach altogether(in front of the Sunrise beach hotel in my opinion) and if you keep going a bit further you%26#39;ll come to Fig Tree Bay which is even nicer but very busy peak season.

For eating out in Pernera there is Italian, Chinese, Cypriot, International and steak restaurants as well as Pizza Hut.I%26#39;d recommend Cordon Blue,Noufaro,Blue Spice to name a few but most of them are good.

A trip to the waterpark in Ayia Napa is a must if you%26#39;re into that sort of thing. Most people recommend the jeep safari, the trip to Egypt(a day trip by plane or a 3 day cruise) and there are a few boat trips that leave daily from the Golden Coast harbour.Look for the little yellow one,we%26#39;ve been on it a few times.

I am also travelling to Protaras in September, this will be my 8th time. I always go in September as it is still warm but not unbearable. Penera is between Protaras and Paralimini. I am staying at the Alva, but the Vangelis are good, the lantiana is superb, The Sunrise Beach is good as is the Capo Bay.
