Hi,

Would love info, we%26#39;re going to Paphos next month and want to look around a few places as we want to get married out there next year. Anything you can recommend would be great.

We want to be away from other hotel guests and want an outdoor civil ceremony. Definately don%26#39;t wanna be on a conveyor belt of weddings like you hear about. Want it as romantic %26amp; private as poss.

Cheers x

Hi there, we are looking at getting married in paphos next may(2008), with about 40 guests where did you have the ceremony /reception and where did you stay. Was it nice. Emily

Hi , 46 of us went to pathos last May to my brothers wedding.

It was lovely but I would say All try and get in same hotel or at least near by as we were scattered at both ends and it is quite hard to all meet up or it will cost a fortune on your mobiles trying to find each other.

The bus runs regular and is cheap enough but unless you want to get off at each hotel you still wont know where people are to meet up.

To give you an idea of just how hard it is - the only time we all got together was at the wedding. We thought we would arrange to go to the water park together and it seemed to have worked untill we got a phone call to say15 of them had got a coach trip to Limmisol water park by mistake so be warned.

We are going to Greece next year for my sisters wedding and will be sure not to make the same mistake again.

Blimey thats a big party,

On the other side of things i wouldnt want family and friends in my hotel as the 2nd week would be our honeymoon.

Will def take note of the waterpark thing tho.

Thanks.

I know what you mean about wanting your own space

My Brother stayed and got married in the Elysium which was fantastic but out of my price range. But what we found was that the families who were staying in the King George and Venus Beach were in the right place to meet up easily if they wanted to. Yet paid around the same price as we did right at the other end.

Ask to see a map with the hotels on when booking it will be a lot easier if you are at least at the same end.

Hiya,

We%26#39;ve booked our wedding at St Georges Chapel for Sept 2008, would really appreciate it if you could give us any names for florist, photpgraphy etc? We%26#39;re hoping to arrange it ourselves rather than through a tour operator so just in the process of checking out prices for everything!

HI there

Just wanted to add i can agree the advantages and disadvantages of family and friends being in different or the same hotels.

I often deal with families in this situation but if you are using a wedding co ordinator and you have a large party i would suggest asking them to help you arrange days out.

i have often arrange that all family recieve a program when they arrive letting them know not only arrangments on the wedding day ie coach pick up times, tips for the wedding venue, reception info, order of service and general flow of the day.

Its important that family are not texting the bride asking, can we get a kids meal, will there be a high chair, can i bring the push chair will nan be able to manage the steps ect ect

Thats why you have your wedding planners and it should be something offered to you as part of their service.

Also often guests want to get together after the wedding for a boat trip, water park ect and again espeically with large numbers this can be arranged. WIth large numbers coach companies can provide private guided days out on land or sea. With large numbers you should aslo benefit from group discounts

If i can help anyone further please let me know again checking with some one local or using maps is another good idea or providing your family with a list of hotels in the local area to your hotel from self catering to 5 star to make sure there is something within eveyones budget. They can then take this list to the travel agent when they book their holidays

Hope this helps
