wedding in cyrus

Can anyone tell me the best place to get married in cyprus? We dont really want a massive hotel or a noisey area somewhere with lovely surroundings but still within walking distance to local tavernas and at good beach is a must! We will have children with us so there has to be things for them to do as well. We have been recomended coral beach hotel and the Golden Beach Hotel protaras can any one help thankyou!

I think you will find it is The Golden Coast hotel at Pernera/Protaras. Have not stayed at the hotel so cannot comment on the standard of weddings and it is quite large but the setting is unrivalled - hotel faces directly onto a delightful beach but you should ask for a sea view to get the full benefit of the views. The beach is very safe for children with water activities if they want them and there are also other little bays in the area - not sure what month you are thinking of but we go to this area in either May, July, September or October and it never gets too busy or noisy. The hotel is in a quiet area but within 5 minutes of all local amenities, restaurants and tavernas in Pernera. It also overlooks a lovely marina. Pernera is a suburb of Protaras situated approximately 10 minute drive out of the main town of Protaras. The walk from this actual hotel to the centre of Protaras would take you about 30 minutes but there are regular buses and taxis.

Have you considered Limassol, It is the quietest area for wedding meaning you wont end up in a hotel where you will watch bride after bride every day getting married.

You will also find restaurants and suppliers cheaper in Limassol for wedding extras.

Limassol has a great old town for shopping and some lovely tradtional villages near by and a small and compact tourist area for nights out.

However it does not have the golden sandy beaches that only the east coast can offer you, but the east coast will also offer you livley noise areas and bride after bride weddings.

If the wedding is the main purpose of the trip if you chose the right hotel in limassol you will find some of the beaches better than others, and could also spend a day or 2 over on the east side once the wedding is over

Let me know if i can help you further
