Elysium, Paphos

Hi

My husband and I are going to the Elysium at the beginning of the school holidays (end of July) taking our 7 year old grandaughter. Last year in the Red Sea our holiday was spoilt as the children%26#39;s club was not operating as promised. Does anyone know anything about the children%26#39;s club at the Elysium? Or what is there generally for children?

Also we have read that the harbour is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel but is a bit rocky - does anyone know if it is walkable for a child?

Thanks

Hi gingerMiltonKeynes,

I did not know they had a childrens club have you called the Elysium

with regard to the walk there are 2 ways of going to the harbour, 1 by the main tomb of the kings road which is along the main road, the other is by going along the beach area passing the lighthouse. I would not say it was rocky uneven perhaps but not a problem for a 7 yr old

Hi everyone,

We will be docked in Limmasol in late Nov. for a day and I have been trying to find tour guides to show us around the island for the day. There are about 12 of us from the ship wanting to book a private tour. Even though others have said that you can do it yourself, we still want a guide. Here is the suggested itinerary:

1) Aphrodite%26#39;s Rock %26amp; Mosaics of Pafos - 8 hr. tour

passes through citrus groves/vineyards to Petra tou Romiou,

on to Pafos to view the Dionysos mosaics, view of harbor, and

castle. Continue on to Tombs of Kings, shopping time at Limanaki area (old harbor), lunch stop in Pafos. Drive on to see Byzantine church of Agia Paraskevi and back to Limassol.

2) Kolossi, Medieval Catle %26amp; Old Town Limassol - 4 1/2 hr. tour

time allowed to visit castle, shopping, etc.

Could someone give me their opinions of the 2 tours? Is 8 hr. is too long for the 1st tour? Other suggested attractions, I don%26#39;t come up w/ too many other things to see when I do a search. An ancient theatre - Kourios????

Thanks so much.

May

P.S. I am also being quoted in Cyp money %26amp; not sure how to convert to American dollars so I can figure out what it would cost everyone in American $$$$.

The Elysium if one of the best hotels in Cyprus!! I stayed there with my company last year. I am sure they will cater for all. I f not there is enough in the area to keep everyone happy. Visit tombs of the kings, go to the port, see the mosaics...
