Has anyone out there stayed @ the Rania Beach Resort in Papgos. We are thinking about going there next June/July . Would like some ideas about the area, ie any local historical sites, what the nightlife is like also if it is expensive or the same value as all other med islands. look forward to hearing from yu.

We stayed at the rania in June 07 %26amp; loved it. The resort is also known as the Panareti Pafos resort. The accomodation is quite basic %26amp; needs updating but is clean %26amp; spacious, has a kitchen and the maid service is excellent. The pool area is quite in general but very relaxing. The food on the resort is good but we found it better to visit the local bars %26amp; restuarants all within about 200 yards walking distance. There is a very good restaurant called the Rib Shack just round the corner. The harbour with its many bars %26amp; restuarants is about 20 minutes walk from the resort where the night life is a bit more noisy. The bus service is reliable %26amp; cheap if you want to travel further. Didn%26#39;t do any sightseeing so can%26#39;t help you there. Cyprus is slightly more expensive that other med islands but god value for money %26amp; we would definately go back.
