I have just been told by olympic holidays that there is building work by the side of the domniki,can anyone tell me how bad it is as i dont want to swop if possible.thanks

Hi they are building a large complex of villas next to the domniki hotel,some one from another forum sight has taken photos for me to look at.I have been told that earth moving has stopped and some villas have their roofs on,i have not cancelled and will be going in august.

Just returned today from a 2 week stay at the Domniki Hotel. The building work at the side of the hotel is as was reported to you..... most of the villas have now been erected and the majority of them have roofs. We didn%26#39;t find any inconvenience at all during our stay as most of the day we spent either on the beach or at the poolside or gardens of the hotel. Having a room at the back of the hotel does mean an early morning wake-up (usually around 0730) but I didn%26#39;t hear one person complain about noise in the 2 weeks we were there. The builders usually finished around 4 - 4.30pm so by the time we got back to our room they had finished for the day.
In our opinion the friendliness of the staff and the glorious location of the hotel more than made up for any noise we did hear.
We spoke to people who are returning for another 2 weeks in September this year, so it certainly hasn%26#39;t put them off.
