Transport to Coral Bay

I am going to Corallia Beach Hotel in September for a fortnight and have booked flight and accomodation independently. I have been told a taxi from Paphos Airport to Coral Bay will be about 20 Cypriot pounds each way - does this sound correct or are there any other transport options?

Thanks for any help

That%26#39;s about right, if anything a taxi maybe cost more. Friends of mine were charged £17 each way for a much shorter journey.

Try and agree a price prior to entering the cab and if you have a map let the driver see it, therefore he%26#39;ll know that you have an idea of where you are going to.

If you are using Globespan and arriving at 0130 or there abouts, a taxi is your only option other than hiring a car.

Car hire may seem an expensive option at first but if you are continually shelling out for taxis over your holiday, at around £5 a time, a hire car may pay for itself in the long run, and you have the added bonus of having it at your disposal when you want to use it.

Yes, I second that. We usually pay 20CYP from Coral Bay to the airport. This is your only option really as there isn%26#39;t a bus service from the airport.

As for hiring a car, if you are not planning on straying far from Coral Bay then there is not much point because all the facilities in Coral Bay are close together (bars, beach, restaurants). However, when you consider that a taxi from Coral Bay to Paphos (harbour area) is between 12-15CYP and if you are planning on spending a lot of time in Paphos, then perhaps hiring a small car would be beneficial.

There is a very good bus service from Coral Bay to Paphos and the fare is hardly worth talking about but the bus does get very crowded and it can take about 45 minutes to get into Paphos at busy times.

Thanks for both your replies - only plan to have the odd day exploring by car so think we will go with the taxi option and hire a car when we need to. Thanks again.
