Never been to Cyprus before. Thinking of booking this hotel.Seen both good and not so good reviews but this seems the case with most hotels anywhere! Could anyone tell me is the beach sandy there,also Is the sea there calm as we enjoy snorkelling.Any other suggested areas/hotels to consider to consider?

Me and my wife returned last week from getting married in Paphos. We stayed in the Laura Beach Hotel for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. It isn%26#39;t a UK 4* hotel, but we really enjoyed it.
It is more of a family hotel that for couples. Me and my wife and 24 and 25 and found it more family orientated than for couples.
There is a small beach in front of the hotel which is nice, however there is always a Red Flag flying as 9/10 the sea is rough there. Of the 2 weeks we were there, we only managed to swim in the sea 3 times.
The rooms in the hotel and quite basic, with no spare plug sockets!!!!! The food is good, plenty of choice.
The best part is the bar service you get. The waitresses always come and ask if you want another drink and they end up getting to know you. They were so friendly.
The hotel grounds and wonderful too, should you wish to go for a walk and get some peace and quiet. Me and my wife can%26#39;t wait to go back to Cyprus, but doubt we would go back to the Laura Beach if it was still about £1800 for 2 weeks All Inclusive. It would have to be much cheaper for us to return.
