desperate, we have just been emailed by taxi company cancelling tomorrow transfer from airport to resort, arrive 6pm approx should we have any problems getting taxi or is there any phone numbers etc of a reliable one

You should not have a problem getting a taxi at airport - just agree price before you set off.
Its only 20-30 minute drive to Paphos - depending on time of day and whether its Schumacher at the wheel(remember also you might be delayed)- the drivers will be flying back and forth to the airport and you may end up sharing with someone else- but hey you are in Cyprus, get into Greek mode, chill and hope you enjoy your trip.
