Superior rooms at Atlantica Bay

Hello everyone,

We have chosen to holiday at the Atlantica Bay in November rather than the Atlantica Oasis (a good idea after reading that hotel isn%26#39;t even open! I can%26#39;t understand why Thomson are taking bookings for it???) Has anyone got any opinions on whether it is worth paying the extra for the %26quot;superior room%26quot;, one member said they did but only got a first floor room and a view of the pool and late night entertainment, which I don%26#39;t fancy as we%26#39;re going for total relaxation!. How do the standard rooms compare?

We%26#39;re not too bothered about the hotel being a way out as we intend to just chill but as we are going all inclusive does anyone know whether the local drinks are good? Food? Long queues at the bar? Is it easy to find a little bit of solitude in the gardens etc away from the main pool? Sorry for the bombardment of questions but I like to know what to expect for my £1000. Cheers.

Hiya

I stayed in superior room in July. You get a bowl of fruit, a bottle of wine, a pair of slippers, a dressing gown and a hi-fi to use. The actual rooms seem to be similar, but you will get a sea view.

Not worth paying but best to book a sea view.

Local drinks include gin, whisky, vodka, wine, lager and everything else to be honest, even most cocktails. You won%26#39;t have to pay for anything unless you order something really exotic. The food is good, try to do the a la carte one night.

No real queues at the bar. Waiters come round to you all day so you don%26#39;t even have to get off your sunbed.

There are 2 pools, the main one where most of the activities take place and a quieter one which a bit more secluded.
