We have just booked our first holiday to Paphos and it seemed that flying into Larnaca was a cheaper option, but I did not check the package and unfortunately we do not have a transfer from the airport!!!
so I was just wondering would anyone know of any decent hire car companies at or near the airport?
I have looked at taxi transfers, and we may as well hire a car for what they charge.
Alternatively, are there coach transfers that would be a cheaper option?
Thanks in advance for any help

most companies will leave the car at the airport for you to pick up and drop off again at end of holiday. You just need to shop around now- a small car should not cost much more than 20-25 Cyprus pounds per day and if you want it for 7 or 14 days ask them to do you a deal.

Oh thats great, thank you.

Also, sorry for all the questions, how long does it take to drive from Larnaca airport to Paphos?
We are staying at the Akteon Village??

Hi,
you could try searching on travelsupermarket in the car hire section, it usually gives loads of companies.
The drive from Paphos to Larnaca takes about 2 hours and is motorway all the way.
The Akteon is the other side of Paphos, along the Tomb of the Kings road and out towards Coral Bay, just by the wreck that you will see just off the shore.
We stayed here in March and had a car for the week, which was useful with it being out of town. Would recommend getting a car with aircon, and sticking to the speed limits.
Hope you have a good holiday.

We went to Paphos in May and also flew into Larnaca. the hire car companies are inside the airport building- there are several of them. we booked our hire car from home and everything was ready for us on arrival- althoygh they were rather slow! You drive out of the airport straight onto the motorway and its an easy 2 hour drive to paphos. The traffic was very light compared to what we%26#39;re used to and we enjoyed the drive. The car was vital in our resort ( Coral Bay)as buses are not very frequent and we travelled around quite a bit- up in the mountains and round about. Have a nice time.

Thanks all for your replies, would have been a great help, had the holiday company not called up and told us the holiday was cancelled.
Hopefully we%26#39;ll find something last minute, and hopefully we%26#39;ll fly into Paphos and wont need to do the 2 hours drive.
Thanks for all your help though, much appreciated

Sorry about the cancellation - have you thought about booking a flight and then booking accommodation direct with hotel or apartments? Its a quick transfer from Paphos airport to the Paphos area, taxis quite reasonable. Hope you get fixed up.

Thanks Chrissie, think we%26#39;ll be doing something last minute, although looking at expedia, there are a few good deals at the moment, sure we%26#39;ll get something booked. Looking forward to getting away from this miserable country!!
