Romanti Restaurant Paphos

Hi

Can anyone recommend a romantic restaurant in or near Paphos for dinner? My boyfriend and I like to try local specialities - love seafood and would like somewhere where we can eat outside, watch a sunset with a sea view.

We are staying at the Pioneer Beach hotel but wouldn%26#39;t mind a short taxi journey, or may hire a car

We don%26#39;t minding spending money, but prefer not to have somewhere constrictingly formal - Any ideas?

Hi sangus,

The place I am going to sugest is called Doria Restaurant, but it is a fair hike from the Pioneer you will need to hire a car it is on the Coral bay rd.

Head along Coral bay rd %26amp; when you come to the Atlantica Beach hotel there is a set of trafic lights just after the hotel, turn left at the lights %26amp; head down the rd veers to the right at the bottom of the rd it is the first taverna on your right.

Lovely Seafood meze at very reasonable prices roughly between CYP8 -10 carafe of house wine around CYP4. Beautifull setting specially at sunset

ive got to agree 100% with the Doria. Its next to the Cynthiana beach htel. i ate there twice last week. get a table right at the front and the sun sets about 8.00pm at the moment. excellent food and the setting is perfect.

Hi Sangus

Just down the road, from your hotel, going away from Paphos, is the last hotel on that strip called the Phaethon. Next to the Phaethon is a wonderful fish/seafood restaurant called Atlantida. There is a small outdoor balcony facing the sea and you will witness the most wonderful sunset. The seafood is extreemely fresh %26amp; beautifully cooked. This is a very informal beachside restaurant.

Have a wonderful meal %26amp; enjoy your sunset.

If you want a photo of a sunset at the Doria restaurant taken two weeks ago then send me a message with your e mail address and i%26#39;ll forward it to you.

Hi Sangus,

We stayed at the Pioneer Beach in March this year and the best restaurant we ate in was Cavalinni - in the Triangle area so about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the Pioneer. It looked as though tables would go outside but they would face the road... but the inside was nice and the service and food excellent, it%26#39;s Italian.

Unfortunately, you would have to go further afield to get your sunset views as most of the road to Paphos from the Pioneer is fronted by hotels.
