Coral Bay or Paphos in October?

Would you recommend Coral Bay or Paphos in October? We will have a 3yr old with us so not wanting nightclubs etc. Do like to eat out each night tho and soak up the atmosphere. Will Coral Bay be too quiet? Also if we did stay in CBay, how long would it take to walk to places like the harbour in Paphos? Many thanks x

You have no chance of walking from Coral Bay - Paphis Harbour with a 3 year old. It is too far away.

Coral Bay is served by a bus service which takes you down to Paphos. The bus runs approx every 20 minutes and costs 80 cents each which is reasonable. The journey is about 15 - 20 minutes.

Coral Bay seems the better choice from what you are after. The best beach is there too, so will be great for the 3 year old. I would prefer to stay in Coral Bay and then venture down to Paphos when needed!

Personally I would not stay in Coral Bay as it is quite boring in the evenings. My kids were bored stiff as all they had was the beach and a few tourist shops which were closed by the time we went out. Just one main road with bars etc. It has a lovely beach but to be honest not much else to offer. I wouldn%26#39;t fancy waiting and taking a pushchair and a tired toddler backwards and forwards on the bus. The taxis can be quite dear. There is much more choice in Paphos and around the harbour area are enough places to eat and drink without going anywhere near Bar St. The beaches along the front and by the Alexander the Great offer a gentle sloping bay and many small coves.

totally agree with bobmate, paphos harbour has far more to offer then Cbay, so much to see %26amp; do in Paphos you would be very restrictive in Cbay

I have mixed feelings about this one too. My family love Coral Bay as our base. Our children are 4 and 11 and they love to have the beach and the pool at the villa during the day.

We usually have a meal out then have a few drinks in the bars before heading back at about midnight. Our children really enjoy having a bit of a dance and a Mickey Mouse cocktail. There are a few good bars in Coral Bay that have karaoke, live music and dancing and they love it. There is also a children%26#39;s fun park with dodgems, crazy golf, swings etc. they keeps them occupied.

However, we usually head into Paphos for a few nights here and there (in on the bus and back by taxi) and they love that too. The bars are a bit busier in Paphos itself and there is generally just a bit more %26quot;razmatazz%26quot;. In particular, there are a couple in Bar Street that have giant Connect 4 and Jenga and Playstations for the children to play with and they always make a beeline for them.

In Paphos itself there are more places to stroll with the pushchair in the evening than Coral Bay.
