The best beach in Cyprus?

Pl suggest the best beach for a nice and quite holiday with some nightlife and good eating places. Have been to Limassol but its too crowded and feels like a working town! At the moment Paphos seems to be the best bet --- any suggestions for hotels? The idea is to have a nice quiet beach during the day, in a nice hotel and not too much crowd.

Paphos side of the island is not known for the best beaches. If its a beach holiday you are looking for go to the east. Protaras or Pernera might suit - look at The Grecian Park hotel reviews (between Protaras %26amp; Ayia Napa) - now that has access to a stunning beach and lagoon.

Try Limassol again.The beaches have been smartened up.Very quiet this year tourists are down by 40%,Paphos ans Ayia Napa crowded

I would suggest Paphos although not known for it%26#39;s beaches there are a few about or in easy drivable distance you have to weigh up beaches as well as somewhere to go.

Coral Bay has a good stretch of beach along with Yereskipou beach by the Atlantida as well as Polis %26amp; Latchi in the north side of the Island. You can travel about 35 Km towards Limassol to a lovely stretch of beach which is the best on the Island in my opinion called Currium

Cypruspiper - you forgot the Athena Royal Beach!

Just returned, would go again. Very quiet as NO KIDS! Very spacious in the grounds, sunbeds aren%26#39;t on top of each other. Plenty of restaurants near to suit all tastes, eg Indian, Rib Shack %26amp; other English-style places, if that%26#39;s what you want (personally, we noted where they were then avoided them)several Itailian - one very nice Italian called Cavallini%26#39;s.

It%26#39;s about 20mins walk into Paphos, or 80c bus ride; buses every 15mins so you could find the night life. Quite a few shops %26amp; supermarkets within 5mins from the hotel too.

We looked at the Riu Cypria hotels as we%26#39;ve stayed in Riu%26#39;s before; the Paphos ones were ok but not as good as the Athena, in our opinion %26amp; the grounds seemed far less spacious. Actually wouldn%26#39;t have chosen any above the Athena, from what we saw from coaches, when picking up for trips (saw Ledra, Phaeton, Pioneer, Paphian)

Coral Bay%26#39;s not far away, with nicer beaches; if you hire a car, you can easily travel there. Watersports at Coral Bay, run by the www.underseawalkers.com lot %26amp; also available from several hotels nr Athena Royal.

Try Kefalos Beach Village. We went there and it was beautiful. On the beach which was absolutely stunning. Very quiet, no kids. Wonderful!
