Hi, Has anyone got anything to say about this hotel. We%26#39;re staying there for the first two weeks of August.
I have read that they have a debit card system for purchasing food and drinks, has anyone had any experience of this.
Are we going to feel out of place, as we are in our late 20%26#39;s, early 30%26#39;s?
Any comments would be appreciated, good or bad.

We have only heard good reports about Bellapais monastery Village it has excellent views of the sea and Kyrenia, they will except credit cards but if you are hiring a car the supermarkets are only 5 minuets away. Also excellent restaurants and bars in the area Like in the village of Ozankoy where we live.
You should not feel out of place this time of the year.

Hi there.
We went to BMV last summer and are returning at the beginning of August ourselves.
We did not use a debit card there but did sign for drinks and food by our room number. It pays to go and settle up in Reception every few days or so in order to keep tabs on your spending and not have a shock at the end of your holiday .They prefer you to settle in cash.
It is quiet there in the evening but also it is easy to get a taxi or take a car into Kyrenia or if you are fit walk up into Bellapais village.
Most folk were in their middle years when we there there but it does make for decent conversation and a very relaxing holiday.

We hated BMV. Typical of their owner`s cynical attitude ( Oscars ).Abysmal service, noisy and poor quality cramped rooms. Food there similar. There are great restaurants in Kyrenia area but the BMV is sort of stranded 1 km from Bellapais and 5 km from town so you either need a car or will have to use taxis a lot. The walk to and particularly FROM town is not advisable in current weather but if you do so take at least a litre of water each.

Just had a week in Bellapais. Most of the rooms are up steep steps so not for the elderly, but they do have rooms at ground level. We stayed in one of the rooms with a galleried bedroom, not the biggest room I have stayed in but adequate. Staff were brilliant and really friendly. Pool area good and spotless with big bean bags to lounge on. Other guests were raving about the massage on offer at the hotel but didn%26#39;t try it myself. No children over 12 policy, so guests tended to be older people. You are able to sign for all your drinks food etc and pay at end of visit. Food at the hotel not too good, but taxi ride to town about a fiver and there is a courtesy bus three time a day. Hotel is a bit remote. A good restaraunt in Bellapais is Bella Vista, who will send a free taxi to the hotel and drop you back after your meal, this can be arranged through reception. The hotel put on events every night but the bar seem to close early so if you%26#39;re looking for a late night stay in Kyrenia.
