I got married here on the 19.10.04, I posted a review on another web site at the time but have found trip advisor the most useful for most of my trips since then, so thought I would post it here too:
(We got married in the grecian sands hotel chapel 19 October last year. We stayed at the hotel for three weeks and booked with thomas cook, who i couldnt fault at all. The wedding day was beautiful, the hotel is gorgeous and the reception and food was lovely. I would recommend it to anyone. The manager nicos sat and planned the reception with us, advised us on how many bottles of wine to buy, seating plans etc, the assistant manager George helped us after that with any further arrangements. He was lovely, nothing was too much trouble.
I wanted to write this review mainly to mention two things which helped make our day special:
The first is the hairdresser in the hotel, Angeline, she is great a lovely person and so talented, i picked a style from a photo album she had, my hair is not very thick so i thought she would have to use extensions or something to create the look, but she didnt and it was done exactly like the picture in the album. She created a style for my sister (bridesmaid) who wears hearing aids and wanted to hide them but wear her hair up, it looked gorgeous, my other bridesmaid couldnt decide between two styles on the day so she did a creation of the two. A lady who we got to know by the pool, was getting married a couple of days after me, after seeing my sisters hair style asked angeline to create a style for her too it was lovely, she even went into the gardens of the hotel and picked flowers to put in her hair. (You can view some of the styles on the Grecian Park Web Site, my mum%26#39;s and brides maids pictures are on there).
She recommended a make up artist who is based in the Grecian Bay (but she comes to the sands on your wedding day) her name is katerina, again she was lovely and a true artist she spent about an hour applying my make up. i brought make up with me (which cost a fortune), i needent have bothered as her stuff was better. she used a combination of my make up but i asked for her eye shadows (she must have used about 10 different shades) i dont have very long nails but she gave me a french manicure, and put a line of silver glitter under each of the tips. These two people took away any stresses i would have had on my wedding day, i could relax get pampered, then all that was left to do was to put my dress on and walk to the chapel. (and try not to fall over).
The second reason for this review was to mention Steve and Jill, again, lovely, lovely people. These two are a couple from England and they live in Larnaca. They done our wedding DVD, I could not have imagined how good this was going to turn out. We opted for a full day, Jill turns up and films you getting your hair and make up done in the hairdressers, then goes up to film your fiance getting ready. then they film the ceremony and you getting your photos taken, you and your new husband together with the sun setting behind you and the speeches. While the video is being made Steve is clicking away with a digital camera. We were told before hand to pick a few of our favourite songs. The following day they turned up with our dvd, it was an edited version including all your songs, a messages section where your guests are filmed wishing you luck etc, and a photo gallery which is a selection of the photos taken by Steve to music. You also receive the unedited version and a disk of all the photographs taken on the day, (we had well over 150). I can honestly say that you forget that they are there, they are so professional and really down to earth. I have a number for them 00357 99657985 Still productions. Thomas Cook put us on to them, but if you have booked with anyone else i would phone them direct you wont be disappointed. The hotel let us watch the dvd the next day in the bar area on the big screen, usually used for football matches etc. Worth asking if you can%26#39;t wait til you get home).
I have just returned from celebrating our second anniversary, nothing has changed, same staff, I booked a hair appointment with Angeline and a make up lesson with Katerina to say hello, we contacted the hotel by e-mail and requested the same room we had for our wedding, the said the couldnt promise but we got it, along with a bottle of wine and fruit on our arrival.
If anyone would like any advise on their wedding here get in touch and I will help as much as I can.

Just to say we too got married on 19 July 2006 in the chaple at G Sands Hotel. Angeline, Steve and the Hotel Manager were great and they made the day feel special. Everything went to plan and on time, and the DVD was out of this world. Even now, when I watch it, I always end up crying! Well worth it. We also booked with Thomas Cook, and I could not fault them.
Joanne - we also watched our DVD the following day in the bar with our family and friends.
We are hoping to go back next year for our first wedding anniversary.

I picked my flowers for myself, BM and the men from Thomas Cook, once I got out there. The cake was free when you have your wedding reception at the G.Sands Hotel. You can always pay a bit more and have it upgraded. But the cake was well nice and it feed all our guests (20 people)
