Hi there - we too are travelling to Cyprus in July and were told that the requirement was 6 months on the existing passport (which thankfully we have). It might be helpful to check with any travel agent you have used, however, on the net see
worldtravelguide.net/country/…Cyprus.html
they say it is 3 months beyond the date of the stay. The same thing is showing on the Cypriot Embassy site
…uk.com/cyprus_travel_information_cypriot_em…
So looks like it should be ok? Good luck and have a great holiday!

thank you so much your information was grately appreciated.

If you call the embassy they will tell you that your passport only needs to be valid for the duration of your stay and there is no longer any requirement for 6 months or any other period to be valid on your passport after you have left.

I rang Thomson as i am in the same boat, the lady told me i only had to have 3 months on my passport

I really would advise you to phone the Embassy to get the correct information straight from the horse%26#39;s mouth.
MyTravel also say that your passport needs to be valid for 6 months after you come back from Cyprus but this is simply not true.

This is the number to call:
Cypriot Tourist Board/Embassy

Read this with interest. It would seem that as an EU National, a min length on passport is not necessary as your EU passport grants you entry into any EU member state. 6 months on passport is only required for non-EU nationals who need to apply for a Visa.
