Hello
I have just returned from a week in Paphos. The weather was reporting at 24/25degrees (on the local bus) but it felt so much hotter than this. The heat where you feel your skin is burning - I am sure you catch my drift.
The evenings are quite cool tho with most nights having a chilly breeze.

Thanx josipops i call my daughter shonapops how sweet./
Did you enjoy your holiday it is our first time to Cyprus Do you reccommend day trips best beaches thanks again.

Me and my new wife have just returned from 2 weeks in Paphos for our wedding. First time in Cyprus and we have both fallen in love with the place.
The weather was a constant 14 days of clear blue skies with hot sunshine. The temperatures were 28 - 29 most days, but we got readings of over 100 on a lot of days. The sun is very strong, so make sure you take some high suncream. I caked myself in factor 15 when I arrived thinking that would be good enough, but I still burnt badly. Go for 25 at the very least, and even then don%26#39;t spend long periods of time in the sun as you still end up burning slightly!
Cyprus has approx 340 days of sunshine so chances are the weather will be great for you!
P.S Buy Mozzie spray as at night they WILL come and get you and the bites can be a bit nasty too.

We just returned from Paphos on Saturday the 23rd June and it was 36 degrees on Friday and they were expecting a heatwave from Greece and the temperature was due to be around 46 degrees from Sunday for a few days. It was so hot and yes there are mozzies about especially at the airport on Saturday - I ended up with five bites at the airport.

My daughter has just text me she arrived this morning she is a sun worshiper and has had to go to the town to get out of the heat its 36 today and getting hotter by wednesday
|||
They are in the grip of a heatwave - we returned on Saturday too - it was way too hot to sit in the sun on the last day!!! Got no mossie bites at all but I think I was just lucky by the sound of it!!!

Returned on sunday 1st July. Was it hot! It was hotter last week than when I was there in August last year. It peaked according to the outdoor temperature showing in my car last thursday at 41c which is 105.8f. ( and that was in platres which is in the Troodos mountains and should have been cooler - radio reported 45c in Nicosia).Thank god for air conditioning as the temps at night were as high as 37c or 98.6f at 11pm!!! Waiter in a restaurant reported that Cyprus T.V was saying they were experiencing the hottest June ever. It had cooled by yesterday and was only 32c or 90f when I got out of the car at Paphos airport at 11.45am so anyone there this week should have more %26quot;normal%26quot; temps.
|||
should have added that myself , my wife and 7 year old son had no mossie bites at all. we stayed at the Aquamare and spent time at the athena beach and the beaches at curion and coral bay . we also ate at restaurants all over the paphos area and in the mountains. whoever got bitten must have been very unlucky as ive never been bitten and it was our 6th visit in the last 5 years.
|||
What did you think of the Aquamare - me and the G/F are flying out there for 2 weeks on Sunday.

I%26#39;ve just reviewed - at length im afraid - the Aquamare on the hotel page. I%26#39;m sure you will enjoy it although they need to improve their reception desk service and the breakfast service as they seem to be unable to cope at the busier times. If you are just a couple rather than a family i think you%26#39;ll find the hotel very nice. basically its not designed for children. the public areas are very nice though and for a couple the pool is good too.If you enjoy it in paphos can i suggest you go about 200 yards up the road and look at the Athena beach - both inside and in the gardens and pool areas - its the best 4 star in paphos by far. worth looking to compare if you ever choose to return to paphos.
