Riu Cypria Maris

We are staying at the Riu Cypria Maris in August for two weeks. We are booked on a half board basis but reading some of the reviews it seems like it is an all inclusive hotel. Has anyone stayed there is it worth paying to go all inclusive when we get there? I am a bit concerned about some of the reviews saying that Paphos is very expensive.

The last time we stayed at this hotel was 2 years ago, I am not aware that you could upgrade to all inclusive, unless, you stay next door at its sister hotel, the Cypria Bay, which shares the same grounds.

Regarding costs in Paphos on the whole, its a lot cheaper than the UK and the quality of the food and drink is a lot better.

And of course you will be guaranteed sunshine.

Thanks for that. I think some people must be getting mixed up with the Riu Cypria Bay as you cant book all inclusive in the brochure. Did you find the hotel ok when you stayed there?

We first stayed at the Maris in 1992 and have stayed there around 7/8 times.

It used to be a fabulous hotel, a haven of relaxation, but would now be best described as tired, I dont know if it was refurbished over the winter, but somebody may know who has been recently

We still go to Paphos every year but no longer stay at this hotel.

I would suggest you look at other the forums like holiday truths, holiday uncovered etc on Paphos, which would give you an overall opinion of the hotel.
