Adonis baths

Hi all

Just looking for a few things to do whilst in Cyprus. Only there a week. Upto now got 3 days booked up going tomb of the kings, waterpark and supreme boat trip. Just looking for 1 more day out wondering if adonis baths are any good? How long does it take from kefalos beach village? what there? cant really find much on the internet about it. Thanks

Hi Banner - we went to the Adonis Baths last year. It is about a 20 minute drive from Coral Bay so that will make it about a 30 minute drive from Tomb of the Kings Road.

Don%26#39;t plan on spending much time there if you go. Once you have seen it there isn%26#39;t really much to do. It is really beautiful and a lovely cool respite from the heat, especially if you dive into the water which is freezing.

It is nice to drive there because you go high up the mountain road but I would only stop off there for an hour at the most.

The road up to Adonis bath is %26quot;interesting%26quot; too, 4 wheel drive preffered !

We did it in our hire car saloon and it was a bit hairy at times with the underside of the car meeting the surface at several points, and its a very loose surface which can be a bit difficult to get traction, epecially when the person in front of you chickens out and stops halfway up a steep bit!

There were buses parked there - god knows how they got down that road - not for the squeamish or inexperienced driver.

Its a nice place though, bring your cossie, we are going back to Cyprus this year and its the first place the kids remembered and they definately want to re-visit.

Adonis Baths are lovely especially on a scorching day.

The Baths may not look inviting but surrounded by shade from the trees and the water is very refreshing.

As for 4x4 - it is not necessary - we went up in a Corsa. As long as you are careful you will not drop the bottom oput of a small car.

Make your way up the hills past Peyia and over to Polis if the Baths do not occupy your time.
