La Cultura Del Gusto Restaurant Pernera

This is a health warning about this resturant at 7, Ifesttou Pernera Area Paralimni.



A very expensive restaurant that serves mediocca food. When I complained about over cooked lamb the head waiter with a long black pony tail became very abusive and aggresive. He threatened to shut me up and throw me out in a sreaming hysterical fashion. I would strongly advise you not to go to this restaurant. The staff are very intimindating, will not listen to customers requests and force food you do not want on you.





This is a retaurant with a thin veneer of class but underneath is a tourist rip off. Be wearned.

What a shock. I have eaten at this restaurant a lot when in Pernera and have always found the food to be very good and the restaurant was always busy and used by the Cypriots themselves. I%26#39;ve recommended it on numerous occasions as being one of the best even if it is more expensive. Hope all that has not changed but will check it out again in October when I go back. The chap with the long pony tail is actually the owner and his wife, who normally runs the staffing side of things and is a delightful woman, but will be heavily pregnant at the moment so maybe she wasn%26#39;t there to take control. The restaurant was refurbished earlier this year and some of the old charm disappeared and I know they did have some staffing problems in May. Sorry you didn%26#39;t enjoy it.

This Man was fighting with his wife because she choose %26quot;expensive%26quot; restaurant and not a cheap corner shop for a night out in their holidays he yell to a pregnant woman because his Orkney island lamb rack was medium to well done and he complain that he pay a lot. Ok mr Londoner tell us how much you pay at London for a Orkney island lamb rack?



Lamb rack cost 10.50 cyp maybe at London 45 cyp? Or you complain all the time for free food?

I must admit I was disappointed to read the first review because it did not sound like the restaurant I had been eager to recommend. I have never had a bad meal here and have always found the owner, his wife and staff delightful and the restaurant is always full. Certainly there should be no health warning - the restaurant is beautifully clean and the food very good. I once ordered a starter which when served I realised it was not to my taste (very strong liver). The owner had no hesitation in appreciating my mistake and promptly changed the meal at no cost. I will be back in Pernera on the 3rd October for 2 weeks and shall hopefully be spending several evenings here enjoying good food and wine.

Maybe you choose a bad day? We have just returned from pernara and dined at this restaurant on a couple of occasions. We found the food to be of a much higher standard than some of the other eateries and only about 1 CYP more expensive. The owner and his wife were extremely pleasant and ready to explain all the menu options if required (lots of different sauces to choose from).





The restaurant was packed everynight we were on holiday.
